US F-Class Team Wins World Championship with Berger Bullets
Mesa, AZ – Congratulations to the United States F-Class Open Team winning the 2023 World Championships held at the Genl De Wet Shooting Range in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The F-Open Team clinched the World Championships competing exclusively with Berger Hybrid Target bullets.
The US F-Class team, who spent 5+ years training for this event, joined teams from Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand, South Africa, and others, to battle for the prestigious title of World Champion in both F-Class Target Rifle (F-TR) and F-Open divisions.
Lead by team captain Dan Bramley and adjutant Pete Ricci, the US F-Open team had multiple team and individual accolades, including 7 silver and 8 bronze medals. Team member Kaycie Blankship received gold in the Under 25 and Walter Lange in Super Veteran.
After the team’s championship win, Ricci commented, “We experienced anuncontrollable explosion of emotions after achieving our goal that began in 2018. Seeing tears of joy in many of our team member’s eyes is a memory that will not soon be forgotten.”
The US F-Open World Champion members were Pat Scully, Emil Kovan, Addison Mohler, Shiraz Balolia, Steve Zock, Tod Hendricks, Keith Weil, Bill Kolodziej, and was coached by Bob Sebold and Team Berger member, Trudie Fay. The two-day match had the F-Open team in third place at the end of day one but were able to battle back on day two compiling a grand aggregate of 3540-366V that surpassed South Africa by five points (3535-374V Silver Medal).
